Registration now open for 2014 birth year players.
The Minnesota Northern Wings Hockey Club is hosting a Prospects Combine this fall for 2014 birth year players. The Prospect Combine will give players (2014 birth year) the opportunity to compete against some the top players from across northern Minnesota. Coaches will evaluate players for consideration for the 2014 birth year team which will begin tournament play in the spring of 2023. Teams typically compete in three high level tournaments in April and May. Rosters will be finalized in January 2023 and the combine is a great way for players to show interest in being a future Wing! The '08 wrapped up the 2019 season by capturing their first Northern Exposure AAA hockey tournament championship. The high flying team used their speed to dominate the field in their last two tournaments and ended the season with an impressive 12 game winning streak. Congratulations to all of the players, coaches, and families on a fun and exciting season of Wings hockey!
Taking the Battle By The Bay by storm, Wings cap off a perfect tourney with a shutout win the chip.
The ‘08 Minnesota Northern Wings stormed through the competition at the 2019 Battle By The Bay AAA Hockey Tournament. With a perfect 5-0 record the Wings outscored their opponents 34-6. Goalie Kaenan Smith recorded a shutout in the Championship game to help lead the team to victory. Leading the way in scoring with huge tournament performances were Tyler George (7g, 4a), Jax Edgerton (6g, 5a), JJ Marthaler (6g), and Easton Orhn (3g, 7a). The boys are firing on all cylinders heading into their final tournament of the summer, the Northern Exposure, in Duluth, MN starting on July 19.
